Based in the Champagne region for over 10 years, I work for a local Champagne producer and share practical, first-hand insights for visitors.
La La La Champagne provides locally grounded, experience-based information to help you explore the region with confidence—whether you are planning your first visit or looking to deepen your understanding of Champagne.
Hello, I’m Hiromi
My career in the wine industry spans over 20 years. It began in Japan as a journalist covering the wine sector, followed by roles in wine retail and e-commerce.
I first moved to France in the early 2000s to study wine marketing, while also working in a communications role at a Champagne Grande Maison. After returning to Japan and continuing my career in the wine trade, I later moved to France again and settled in the Champagne region.
For over 10 years, I have lived in the Champagne region while working for a Champagne producer.
These experiences have given me a broad perspective—from historic Champagne houses to the more personal world of independent producers.
What I share on this site
Through my daily work and conversations with visitors from around the world, I have come to notice small but important gaps in information—details that can make a trip smoother, more enjoyable, and more meaningful.
On this site, I share:
- Practical tips for visiting Champagne (Reims, Épernay, and beyond)
- Insights into winery visits and tastings
- Local perspectives you won’t easily find in guidebooks
- Travel advice based on real, first-hand experience
My perspective
Rather than acting as a tour guide, my aim is to offer thoughtful and practical insights based on everyday life in Champagne.
I believe Champagne is not only about what is in the glass, but also about the people, the landscape, and the traditions behind it. Living here has allowed me to understand both the historic Grande Maisons and the more hands-on world of smaller producers, and I try to reflect that balance in what I share.
My goal
If this site helps you feel more confident, better prepared, or simply more curious about visiting Champagne, then it has done its job.
I hope the information here will help you experience the region in a more personal and meaningful way.
